I was just telling someone the other day about how Reagan failed to act on AIDS and comparing that to Trump and Covid19. Here we are, history keeps repeating itself. I've often thought in the last few years that the new generation has no idea what it used to be like in our community decades ago. How far we've come with the things they take for granted. Alas.

Slow cooking (anything) is the kind of nurturing we need to stay strong and loving.

Yep, since few of us grow up with LGBTQ+ parents none of us grow up steeped in knowledge of what happened even a generation ago.

Your quinces look amazing, when I used to make jam, I would wash them and cook them a bit and then cut them, since they are so hard to cut. In Brazil they make marmalade, which is actually a sweet "cake" made only from quince and sugar, that hardens a bit, but soft enough to make slices from it. Marmelo is quince in Portuguese. Nothing better than a slice of it and some salty cheese on fresh bread, oh the memories!

I am sorry about the elections, here in Israel is also the same trouble, Netanyahu seems to be prime minister forever, I wish he would go somewhere else soon.

But, as you wrote slow cooking and patience will prove these stupid politicians will go and good things will happen again, don't loose hope.
